Identity.net Partners with i-SAFE to Bring Online Safety Technology to the Classroom
Bellevue, WA (PRWEB) October 17, 2008 -- Identity.net announced today a partnership with i-SAFE, the leader in Internet safety (e-Safety) education. i-SAFE's mission is to educate and empower youth to help make their Internet experiences safe and responsible. This partnership will bring Identity.net's identity management and online safety technology to 6.4 million i-SAFE-trained students and 700,000 faculty nationwide.
"Identity.net offers, for the first time, a technology with specific tools to help students stay safe online," said Teri Schroeder, i-SAFE President and Program Director. "Identity.net allows them to proactively control their identity by easily managing what information they reveal online. This level of privacy control is critical to helping young people avoid predators, prevent online bullying, and ensure online safety."
i-SAFE is incorporating Identity.net's core technology into program materials distributed to schools, law enforcement and parents within its i-SAFE Safe Schools Education and Outreach initiative. This program material is specifically designed to educate middle and high school students on the topics of personal safety, online security, and the safe use of online communities. Participating students will use Identity.net to protect themselves online by controlling access to their personal information. In addition, they can verify the identity of those they are engaging with on the Internet.
To further showcase how these these technologies can be applied, Identity.net and i-SAFE will also work together on a youth poll conducted among participating students to assess their impressions of the current presidential election. Identity.net's identity verification technology ensures a scientific poll in that each user can only vote once, and their demographic information is confirmed. Results of the poll, which will provide authenticated demographic data such as gender, grade and zip code, will be released prior to Election Day.
"We are delighted that, through our partnership with i-SAFE, we can help educate and enable young people to gain control over their online identity and privacy, and thus utilize online tools and communities more safely," said Rob Monster, Chairman and CEO of Identity.net. "Moreover, the election poll we are conducting with i-SAFE shows firsthand the multiple applications for online, verified identity, which will become increasingly critical in a user-centric,Web 2.0 world."

Lito Atienza - Saving Lives Through The Home Of The Angels
Lito Atienza is currently a part of the list of prospects who will participate in the elections for Manila mayor. These Manila elections, yet once again, would be a proof of the aptitude of the discernment of the electorate to pick a candidate who is worthy of the demanding needs of the colorful city. In terms of qualifications, perhaps there is no one else who fits the post more other than Lito Atienza. And amidst those who will compete for mayor in the Manila elections, no one probably has helped more.

Prosecutors Bully Ohio Voters: Ohio Election Justice Campaign Calls for Day of Silence on January 6, 2009
Ohio Election Justice Campaign (OEJC) calls for Day of Silence this Tuesday, January 6, 2009 to commemorate "Boxer Rebellion." An initiative of the Congressional Black Caucus, the Boxer Rebellion was based on widespread electoral problems in Ohio, most unaddressed to this day. Alleged acts of voter intimidation ongoing during the 2008 presidential election include the alleged assault of an election observer in Lucas County, the refusal ...
